Cross-RC EMO XL 1/8 6×6 RTR Brushless Crawler

The EMO XL is developed specifically for six-wheel drive and is based on a portal axle driveline with a double-reverse portal axle structure. The car has independently controllable front and rear differential locks (the rear twin axles are controlled together) and a two-speed, high-strength all-metal gearbox, made to meet the demands of today's popular high-power and high-speed climbing. The third-axle suspension uses a combination of aerospace aluminium and fibre, giving both strength and low weight and improving reliability by reinforcing the rear axle suspension against unexpected loads when climbing.

The EMO XL is based on Cross-RC's 1/8 EMO platform, which has gone through three generations of development with continuous strengthening and upgrades. The gearbox has a reverse transmission with an aerospace aluminium CNC motor mount that dissipates motor heat effectively, and the internal gears are a mix of machined and MIM-injected gears for high strength, low noise and wear resistance. The whole vehicle runs on ABEC3 high-precision bearings for quiet, smooth operation and longer service intervals. The suspension links are 7 mm 304 stainless steel, which is hard-wearing and rust-free and also lowers the centre of gravity, while the ball ends are upgraded to larger, reinforced versions for better durability.

The car comes with large 21 mm CNC shock absorbers with vacuum-coated shafts for smoother damping and better shock oil performance, filled with 350CST shock oil and correctly bled at the factory. Reinforced main frame rails are designed to handle heavy loads and high-power modifications without being easily damaged, while robust front and rear portal axles in imported weather-resistant nylon meet the strength requirements even at low temperatures. A second-generation rear balance linkage system, based on new geometry from the CROSSRC EMOX Rhinoceros, improves control of the rolling centre of gravity at high speed without compromising shock performance.

The EMO XL has the same high-performance AT tyres as the EMO X3, with a tailored tread for versatile traction. As standard, the car has high-output light groups with grille warning lights and several modes controlled from the transmitter. The whole car runs on a 7.4V high-voltage circuit with full servo gear shifting and differential lock control, a customised 4S 880 ESC from Hobbywing and a linear high-power 560 brushed motor. Later upgrades to advanced servos and transmitters need no worries about power supply or differential settings. There are also entertaining, controllable dual sound effects with fun sounds such as horn, alarm and music, which can be freely changed and controlled.
