When the Cessna 208 Caravan first flew in December 1982, it proved so good that FedEx asked for a longer version (208B Cargomaster), which was then developed into the 208B Grand Caravan. It is an aircraft that is perfect for R/C in so many ways, not least because of its fixed tricycle undercarriage, roomy fuselage, high-lift wing, eye-catching details and overall flying qualities.
Beautifully realised in conventional balsa and film, Seagull's interpretation captures the essence of the aircraft in fine style, while treating you to a range of desirable features. Cockpit details, a navigation light set, profiled and recessed control surface leading edges, a sturdy sprung nose leg, opening cockpit and cargo doors, scale fittings, two colour schemes and much more make this a really good choice. With its three-piece wing (fixed centre section), it is also practical to assemble at the field, as it only needs one locking bolt for each outer panel. All in all, an attractive and highly practical model to add to your fleet.
