Another kit on the 2WD BT-01 chassis, which can be built with an FF, MR or FR drivetrain – here with the standard wheelbase, front engine and front-wheel drive (FF) under a body inspired by the Peugeot 306 Maxi. The rally car is based on the front-wheel-drive 306 hatchback with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated 280 hp engine, widened wings, a roof spoiler and a lightweight body – and among other things it won its class at the 1996 Monte Carlo Rally and French rallies in 1996 and 1997.

The polycarbonate body has separate door mirrors and a roof spoiler in ABS, and the included stickers give an original Tamiya paint scheme. The BT-01 chassis can switch between front-wheel and rear-wheel drive without moving the battery, motor and electronics – simply by turning the final gear and steering around. Front-wheel drive is recommended for this model.
