Description

The Dodge WC62 was extensively used by the US Army during the Second World War. It was introduced in 1943 and further developed and produced in several versions, including the 1½-ton truck with six-wheel drive. The addition of a third rear axle allowed the Dodge to transport a substantial amount of equipment or 12 fully equipped soldiers in all conditions and operational contexts. Extremely robust and reliable thanks to its powerful 92hp Dodge 6-cylinder inline engine, sturdy chassis and leaf-spring suspension, it was an effective solution to the US Army's logistical needs, even in difficult terrain. The cab was open with a folding windscreen to provide greater operational flexibility.
