Description

The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was developed in the 1950s and became one of the most famous and widely used light attack aircraft in aviation history. It was characterised by a simple design with low-mounted delta wings and small side air intakes, but was highly functional for operational use. The OA-4M Skyhawk, a further development of the original layout, is a two-seat light attack and advanced trainer version designed to meet the operational needs of the United States Marine Corps. The OA-4M was developed by McDonnell Douglas in the 1970s and created to operate alongside single-seat variants in tactical support, reconnaissance and operational pilot-training missions. The OA-4M, which was significantly upgraded in avionics compared with earlier versions, was able to use a wider and more advanced range of weapon systems.


The finished model measures: 16.6 cm.
