The Anglo-French supersonic passenger aircraft is one of the most spectacular aircraft developments of recent years. The first flight of the joint production by the British Aircraft Corporation and Aérospatiale was on 2 March 1969. Passenger flights began in early 1976 (transatlantic and Middle East routes). Concorde has four Olympus 593 engines (17,000 kp each) and achieved a maximum cruising speed of Mach 2.04. Range: 6,580 km, passenger capacity 128-144.
