Description

The light tactical multi-role vehicle LMV Lince was developed by the Italian company Iveco Defence Vehicles in the early 2000s to meet the need for a new-generation light armoured vehicle for troop transport and advanced reconnaissance, capable of operating in all types of terrain and under all operational conditions. It is still regarded today as one of the most successful light tactical vehicles in its category, offering a good level of protection against small-arms fire and shrapnel. The Lince's crew compartment is designed as an armoured "capsule" independent of the chassis, a solution that improves crew protection in the event of under-hull explosions. The Lince has been deployed in several theatres of operation, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and the Balkans.
