"Flower"-class corvettes will always be associated with the Battle of the North Atlantic, although they saw action in every theatre of war during the Second World War. Among other escort ships, the "Flower" class bore the brunt of the fighting against the German U-boats. A total of 267 of these corvettes were built in Britain and Canada.
