Description

This armoured car equipped the reconnaissance units of the American armoured divisions in Europe from the second half of 1944 and was widely used by the Free French forces engaged in the liberation of French soil. The M-8, characterised by a very modern shape for its time, had high mobility, but at the same time lacked sufficient armour and armament to face German tanks, and its open-top turret offered no protection to the crew. The M-20 version was developed from the armoured car version, without a turret and armed with a 0.50-inch machine gun.

The finished model measures 8.4 cm.
