Tamiya Masking Fluid

For places where tape struggles, such as complex or curved shapes and difficult surfaces. This special light green fluid is applied directly from the bottle and drips very little, so the work stays clean and precise. It can be used with Tamiya Color paints.

How to use it

1. Wipe any oil off the surface with washing-up liquid.
2. Apply directly from the bottle and let it dry completely.
3. Cut the fluid away where you want to paint, remove any other excess pieces, and paint.
4. Remove the masking fluid once the top coat is completely dry.

• Drying time: approx. 30 minutes for a thin coat

Note: Only apply once the base colour is completely dry, and apply a thin coat, as thick coats take longer to dry. Use a new blade when cutting the dried fluid, and press down edges where there is air underneath. The fluid is water-based, so take care when using it over water-based paint. Fluid on complex surfaces can be difficult to remove. Handle the bottle carefully to avoid leaks, and clean the nozzle if it becomes blocked.
