Description

USS Constitution is a three-masted heavy frigate with a wooden hull, of the United States Navy. Named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the USA, she is the world's oldest floating commissioned naval vessel. Launched in 1797, on Constitution Day, she was one of the original six frigates approved for construction by the Naval Act of 1794.
