Built in 1963 at J. & K. Smit's Scheepswerven N.V. in Kinderdijk, Holland. Length 77.50 m, beam 12.35 m, draught 6.90 m, gross tonnage 1,539 tons. Driven by 2 Smit-M.A.N. turbo diesel engines producing 9,000 hp. These engines drive a single propeller shaft through Vulcan fluid couplings and reduction gears. When a quick manoeuvre is required, one engine can go ahead while the other goes astern. Speed 18 knots.
