Traxxas BL-2s Brushless ESC – waterproof
Rain at the track? No problem. The BL-2s is fully waterproof, so your brushless car keeps going through puddles and mud while others pack up. The large aluminium heat sink and a built-in output for an extra fan keep the temperature down — and if it still gets too hot, two-stage thermal protection kicks in and protects the electronics before anything burns out.
Can the little ones drive too? YES! The patented Training Mode™ turns the power down to 50 % — both forward and reverse — so new or younger drivers can get to know the car without it ending up in the hedge. Afterwards you switch to Sport Mode (forward, brake, reverse) or Race Mode (forward and brake). Clever! You do the programming with EZ-Set® — one button, just like on Traxxas' other speed controls — and a multi-colour status LED tells you what is going on.
It runs on NiMH packs with 6-7 cells (7.2-8.4 V) or 2S LiPo (7.4 V). If you run LiPo, the built-in two-stage low-voltage detection keeps an eye on the battery so you do not run it flat. The motor connector is keyed so it cannot be connected the wrong way round. It does not get easier than that.
