Ugears Manned Mars Rover – spring-powered wooden Mars vehicle

Ready for Mars! The Manned Mars Rover is a crewed planetary vehicle with a cab for two astronauts, and it is driven by a spring motor. It has 6x6 drive and fully sprung independent suspension, and an articulated joint between the cab and the body makes it more manoeuvrable on uneven terrain. The wheels are rubberised for better grip and for climbing over obstacles.

There is a cargo bay for tools, equipment or rock samples, a fold-down ramp at the rear and an antenna on the roof that turns 360 degrees. The details are laser-engraved – including the dashboard and the solar panels on top of the hatch – and a sticker with the official NASA logo is included. The parts are laser-cut from wooden boards and assembled without glue or special tools, following instructions in eleven languages, and you can get spare parts free of charge on request.
