Telemetry Expander Module for TQi (6550)

How fast was it actually going just then? And how hot did the motor get? With the Telemetry Expander you get the answer in black and white — right on your phone. The module connects to your TQi radio system and sends data to the Traxxas Link app, where you follow along on a virtual dashboard while the car is running. Plug in up to six plug-and-play "smart" sensors (voltage, temperature and GPS) — plus three standard Traxxas sensors on top. The app recognises the sensors by itself, so setup is done in minutes. Combine it with the GPS module and you get a real speed check instead of guesswork in the back garden. All data can be recorded and saved, so you can play back the day's driving afterwards and show your friends that it was NOT an exaggeration!

But it is more than just measurements. The Telemetry Expander replaces the transmitter's button-and-LED programming with a graphical interface in the app. Here you adjust trim and radio settings, enter vehicle profiles, update model memory and tailor setups to the day's surface — gravel, grass or tarmac. All from the same screen. Smart! The module is water-sealed, so a wet track is no problem, and installation requires no replacement of parts. The heavy-duty communication cable is included, and the module is ready for the plug-in GPS Speed Module (#6551, sold separately). Please note: this version (#6550) has been replaced by 6550X.

You need a TQi radio system with the Traxxas Link Wireless Module (#6511) and a Traxxas Link receiver (#6518). The Traxxas Link app itself is free and available from Google Play or the App Store. It runs on iPhone (4S, 5, 5C, 5S), iPod touch (5th generation and newer), iPad (3rd generation and newer), iPad mini and devices with Android 4.4.
