Transit is the name of a series of light commercial vehicles produced by Ford Germany and Ford Britain, starting in 1953 for the European market. The real turning point was represented by the "Second Series" Transit, introduced to the market in 1965. The vehicle's configuration, characterised by a front-mounted engine, wide track and low load bed, was ideal for optimising transport operations. The Transit was also available - an innovation for its time - in a large number of versions and configurations, ranging from vans to cab-chassis with load beds and minibuses. A true partner for tradespeople, small businesses and large companies across Europe who needed to meet commercial mobility requirements over short distances. Italeri also used Ford Transit vehicles to deliver a special product: our scale model kits.
