The single-engine fighter-bomber Fiat G-91 was developed by the Italian aviation industry in the early 1950s. Designed by the renowned engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli, it was characterised by an aerodynamic layout with swept wings and compact dimensions, ensuring significant manoeuvrability in flight. Its good performance allowed the G-91 to win the NATO competition, which aimed to identify a tactical support aircraft that was easy to produce yet versatile and flexible, and capable of equipping the air units of member countries. The Fiat G-91 was in fact employed by the Italian Air Force as well as by Germany and Portugal. Armed, in the "R" version, with four 12.7 mm machine guns mounted in the nose, it could carry an offensive payload of 700 kg on underwing pylons.


The finished model measures 21.5 cm.
