The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French-built multirole fighter that entered service in the early 1980s. Originally developed as a single-seat aircraft optimised for air-superiority and interception missions, it later evolved into the Mirage 2000D variant, specifically designed for ground-attack and low-altitude penetration missions. When the Mirage 2000D entered service with the French Armée de l'Air, it retained the Mirage 2000's signature delta-wing aerodynamic configuration but had a two-seat layout with a pilot and a weapon systems officer responsible for target acquisition and weapons guidance. The aircraft has been deployed in various theatres of operation, including Libya and Afghanistan. The Mirage 2000D is capable of carrying a varied offensive payload for a wide range of mission profiles, and has undergone continuous avionics and electronic upgrades to extend its service life.


The finished model measures 19.6 cm.
