Castle Creations Sidewinder 3 ESC with 1406-4600KV sensored motor combo for 1/10

The Sidewinder 3 combo from Castle Creations is a waterproof speed controller and motor package for 1/10 scale off-road, on-road and rock crawler vehicles running on up to 3S LiPo. The combo comes with a 1406-4600Kv sensored motor and an updated Sidewinder 3 ESC with improved circuitry for faster response and greater reliability.

Although the motor has sensor technology, this function cannot be used with the Sidewinder 3 ESC. On the other hand, the design makes it possible to rebuild the motor and replace damaged motor wires, which extends the life of the motor. For full sensored operation, you need a sensored ESC such as the Mamba X.

The combo is suitable for 2WD short course trucks on 2S LiPo with conservative gearing, and for 1/10 2WD stadium trucks and buggies on 2S for general bashing and limited running on 3S. It also works well as an upgrade for 1/10 on-road cars on both 2S and 3S. Please note that the combo is NOT intended for 4WD short course trucks. The maximum recommended vehicle weight is 2.26 kg ready to run, incl. battery.

The Sidewinder 3 ESC is compatible with the Castle Link USB Programming Kit, which lets you program the controller from a Windows PC. Among other things, you can adjust the throttle curve, brake curve, drag brake, auto LiPo cutoff, punch control, reverse type and motor type, as well as access firmware updates and save setup profiles.
