Cross RC EMO XX Stegosaurus 1/6 ARTR Truck – crawler chassis

The EMO XX Stegosaurus is part of Cross RC's Dinosaur Series and is made to recreate the feel of a prehistoric giant on wheels. With its massive presence, rugged build and aggressive details, this 1/6 crawler is built to crush terrain with a true Jurassic look. The car is over 80 cm long and weighs 13 kg, giving it an impressive and solid presence on any surface.

The chassis is built around a combination of steel and imported nylon. The reinforced frame is formed from thick steel plates by hundred-tonne pressing, while the axles, cross braces and connecting parts are made from a special nylon formula that gives a good balance between strength and flexibility. The rear and front axle structure uses a reverse transmission "door axle" design with a maximum of plus 5 degrees Ackermann angle, 8 degrees kingpin inclination and a maximum of 8 degrees caster – a setup that gives stable and predictable handling after steering. The half shafts and output shafts are made of reinforced steel, with a half shaft diameter of 6 mm and an output shaft diameter of 8 mm with a 17 mm hex.

The suspension uses a three-link setup with a lateral link at the front and a four-link setup with a balance bar at the rear, with links up to 10 mm in diameter. This gives a flexible yet side-load-resistant design, further supported by steel-reinforced upper mounts. The large 26 mm CNC-machined aluminium shock absorbers have adjustable preload and up to 40 mm of travel, giving the car good suspension comfort and smooth movement over rough terrain. The ball joints are made from a special material with steel balls for extra toughness.

The body is made from heavy-duty PC plastic and fitted together with an internal roll cage system for a realistic look and good protection. The body is attached to the chassis with a four-point quick-release mechanism, so it is easy to remove. At the rear there is a truck bed in ABS plastic. The car is supplied as an ARTR kit, which means the chassis is pre-assembled with three 25KG high-voltage standard servos for the transmission and differential locks and a synchronised LED lighting system with strobe function – but without motor, ESC, steering servo and radio equipment.
