Ford GPA (General Purpose Amphibian)

The Ford GPA, also known as the "Seep" (seagoing Jeep), is the American counterpart to the German VW Schwimmwagen Typ 166 and is famous for its ability to drive both on land and in water. This amphibious vehicle became a key part of transport during the Second World War, with more than 12,000 units produced by Ford from spring 1942 until the end of the war. It was also supplied to the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease agreement and entered service in spring 1944.
