Back again – new decals

The twin-engine fighter aircraft Sukhoi Su-27K "Sea Flanker", later renamed Su-33, is the carrier-based variant of the famous Sukhoi Su-27. This naval version, while retaining the Su-27's exceptional operational performance and striking aerodynamic design, was developed and built to operate from Russian Navy aircraft carriers. To fulfil this role, the aircraft underwent structural changes to strengthen its airframe and landing gear, making it suitable for carrier operations, including the addition of an arrestor hook. The newly designed folding wings also optimised storage capacity in hangars. The first operational activities took place in the mid-1990s aboard the Admiral Kuznetsov.

The finished model measures 30.4cm.
