Traxxas EZ-Peak Live Dual charger – 26 A NiMH/LiPo 2-4S with Auto iD

Sound familiar? Two cars in the garage, two flat packs and only one charger. So you stand there waiting. With the EZ-Peak Live Dual that is over — it is a streamlined version of the original EZ-Peak Live with faster charging and room for two batteries at once, even two 4S packs. You get 200 W and approx. 26 A to work with, and each side can deliver up to 16 A to a 4-cell LiPo. It is a true multi-chemistry charger, so both NiMH (5-8 cells) and LiPo (2S, 3S and 4S) are welcome, two of each at a time.

Is it hard to use? NO! Plug in an iD-equipped NiMH or LiPo battery and press start — that is all there is to it. Traxxas' iD technology (patent pending) recognises the battery itself, identifies its type and size and sets the charger settings accordingly. And then there is the MAXX Charge button, which we at Hobbyviking really love: the right side charges at full power up to 16 A, while the left side gets the remaining power. When the right side is finished, the left side switches to MAXX power. The result? One battery ready in almost half the time, so one of you can get out and drive while the other pack finishes. That's smart!

The charger has built-in Bluetooth, so you can control it from the free EZ-Peak Live App for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Android. You get a sleek high-resolution graphical interface, detailed live charging data, firmware updates and remote monitoring with alarms for up to 4 chargers at once. If you want to control everything yourself, Advanced Mode gives full manual control, and if you have old first-generation Traxxas batteries with non-iD High-Current Connectors, just switch off iD mode in the app — then it charges those too. Please note that some functions require a mobile device with Bluetooth (sold separately) and the app.
