The Velineon VXL-3m is a complete brushless power system in which every component is designed to work together — total system optimisation, as Traxxas calls it. In plain English: you get far more power than from comparable brushed motors, and you feel it from the first squeeze of the throttle!

At its heart is the Velineon 380 brushless motor with 8 turns and 4000 Kv. It is built with ultra high-temperature sintered neodymium magnets, silicone steel laminations and a precision-balanced rotor spinning on efficient high-speed ball bearings. The result? Massive torque and linear power, delivered consistently — run after run. The motor is optimised specifically for 1/16 scale, so you get both power and efficiency without wasting energy. And if it wears out one day after many seasons? You can take it apart and rebuild it, because it is rebuildable. Hex hardware and the blue anodised finish also make it good-looking when the body is off.

The electronics are optimised to remove bottlenecks and maximise current flow. High-frequency transistors and an advanced circuit design give really smooth and refined throttle control — you can creep through a technical corner and then give it everything on the straight. A Traxxas High Current battery connector is fitted, so power flows freely from the battery. And the best part? It is Traxxas' own design with minimal maintenance.
