Black or blue seal? It sounds like a matter of taste, but it is actually a real choice. Traxxas makes this 12x18x4 mm ball bearing in two versions, and the difference is in the rubber seal. On this 5120A, the black seal is in full contact with the inner race. That costs a little extra rotational resistance — but in return the bearing needs less maintenance. Would you rather just drive and let the bearings look after themselves? Then the black one is for you!

Its sister, the 5120 with a blue seal, does the opposite: here the rubber does not touch the inner race, so the bearing rolls with less resistance — but in return it needs more maintenance from you. So choose according to how you prefer to spend your time: wrenching or driving.

You get two bearings in the pack, and they are genuine Traxxas parts.
