The 1975 Le Mans 24 Hours was a victory for a team that certainly weren't the favourites. The Gulf-liveried Mirage GR8 of Ickx and Bell won by a lap ahead of the Ligier behind them, the third and last overall win for a Gulf-coloured car at Le Mans, and the first of an incredible five Le Mans wins for Derek Bell. For Ickx, this was the third of his fantastic six wins, making this car a real springboard for some of the most famous Le Mans drivers ever!
