The Cub is a classic that both full-scale and model pilots have loved for years, and it has become a natural benchmark for new aircraft types. The CubCrafters FX-3 is the latest variant in the Carbon Cub series, and Hangar 9 now presents the largest and most modern Cub ever in a complete ARF format for the giant-scale pilot.

With an impressive wingspan of 165 inches, this is the largest Cub model Hangar 9 has ever created, and one of the largest on the market. The model combines lavish scale details with the flying experience Hangar 9 is known for. The two-piece wings with folding wing struts and a removable tail surface make the model practical to transport and get ready to fly.

The model has numerous scale details, including sprung landing gear with a solid machined damper and strong springs – just like on the full-scale aircraft – as well as a cockpit panel, tow release and a super-scale tail wheel assembly. The shock-absorbing 8.5" tyres with aluminium wheels take most of the impact when landing on rough terrain. The two-piece fibreglass cowl gives easy access to the engine and fuel system, while the LED landing and navigation lights (compatible with 3S LiPo) add extra realism.

The FX-3 is designed for 100-200cc petrol engines, and the complete mounting kit is included, so engine installation is quick and simple. The optional, functional tow release makes this Cub the perfect companion for glider towing.
