The brand-new Crossrc EMO X4 is a rugged off-road pickup crawler with a purpose-built long-wheelbase climbing chassis. The cab and rear load bed are modelled on the real vehicle, and the body has split nylon wheel arches and a cross-over style luggage rack, giving it a very practical cross-over look.

The front and rear body sections are mounted independently. The front section has a hidden quick-release latch for fast access and comes with a simulated cab interior and driver. The rear section is fixed at the back, so the battery and drive system do not have to be removed for access. The luggage rack has a simulated recovery board, an extra fuel tank and a small backpack speaker with dual sound effects. A full lighting system for the whole car and two sets of powerful spotlights are also included from the factory, so you can go climbing at night with a clear view.

The EMO X4's wheelbase is scaled in proportion to the real vehicle at 436 mm, which is 61 mm longer than the EMO X and greatly improves climbing on steep slopes. The car also has a two-speed gearbox, independent front and rear differential locks, CNC suspension with rod ends and lightweight wheels with TALON MT tyres, giving it excellent performance straight from the factory. The complete vehicle measures 712 x 301 x 286 mm with a wheelbase of 436 mm, so it climbs steep slopes very well.

The chassis is built around a new cast heavy-duty long-wheelbase frame rail for extra strength and reliability. The battery compartment is enlarged to 160 x 60 x 40 mm, so you can use larger or more powerful batteries. The 436 mm wheelbase uses a metal centre shaft for efficient, stable power transfer, while large 20 mm CNC shock absorbers give both good support and flexible movement. The suspension uses reinforced ball joints and links, making the chassis tougher in hard impacts such as slope strikes and landings. Crossrc's innovative rear balance link gives more stable driving at high speed and reduces body roll and other rollover problems caused by shifts in the centre of gravity. The strong inset portal axle design provides enough torsional resistance for powerful drive systems.

The gears are made from high-strength alloy using a PM process and are precision-cut, combined with hard-wearing hybrid nylon for quiet and durable operation. The bearings are high-quality ABEC3 grade for better weather resistance and longer intervals between servicing. The 2.2" lightweight nylon wheels with TALON MT tyres are made from professional synthetic materials that are very hard-wearing and puncture-resistant. The signature Crossrc backpack speaker comes with individual dual sound effects that add extra fun to your driving.
