Drift tyres and wheels 1.9" – split-spoke black chrome (front and rear)

Want to drift sideways through the living room or around the carport? Then you need plastic under the car – not rubber! Here you get hard drift tyres in a plastic compound, pre-mounted and precision-glued at the factory onto great-looking split-spoke wheels in black chrome. Just bolt them on and off it slides. The set covers both front and rear: narrow at the front and wide at the rear, so the car sits right from the very first run. The new hard compound tyres give you a good mix of durability and breakaway – that is, the rear end lets go when you want it to – and they work on carpet, concrete and tarmac. Not a fan of black chrome? The wheels are also available in orange and green.

A proper RC drift car needs three things: a stiff chassis, plenty of power and the right drift tyres. The Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 delivers the first two and is therefore a really good platform for drifting. The chassis has dual bellcrank steering and an adjustable servo saver, and with optional high-angle steering you get enormous steering lock, so you can hold the car in long, controlled slides. Want even more predictable breakaway? Lock the front or rear axle with a differential spool (#8379). Then all you need is the tyres – and now you have them!
