How fast does it really go? Now you no longer have to guess. With the Telemetry Expander 2.0 and the included GPS Module 2.0, the car measures its own speed via GPS and GLONASS — in real time and directly on your phone in the Traxxas Link app. And because the measurement comes from the satellites, gearing and tyre size make no difference. If you switch to bigger wheels or a different pinion, it still shows the correct figure. Clever! All data can be followed live and recorded while you drive, so afterwards you can dig into the details and see what actually happened on the track.

Is it hard to install? No! No parts need to be replaced or swapped around — the expander connects via the advanced communication bus to either your TSM receiver or the High-Voltage Power Amplifier, and with data cables (sold separately) it can be connected directly to VXL-6s and VXL-8s speed controllers. The receiver data cable is included in the box. If you want more to look at, there are six ports for additional temperature and voltage sensors. The app finds the sensors by itself, so setup is done in a couple of minutes. The whole lot sits in a waterproof housing, so it also copes with the muddy days.

Important: GPS Module 2.0 (#6551X) and Telemetry Expander 2.0 (#6550X) replace the original Telemetry Expander (#6550) and GPS Module (#6551), and the old parts cannot be used together with the 2.0 versions. More info @ Traxxas!
