Top Fuel Dragsters are the undisputed kings of the drag strip. Able to accelerate from 1-100 mph in under a second, with 5G of force at launch (more G than an F-18 catapulted off the deck of an aircraft carrier) and top speeds of 335 mph, top fuel dragsters are the epitome of technology, power and speed.

A single look at the Top Fuel Dragster from Ugears shows that this is no ordinary toy car. The model is powered by a strong spring motor and gear set that transfers power through the crankshaft and belt drive (a rubber band running through a tensioner with a roller) to the rear wheels, which have special silicone tyres for extra grip. The DIY wooden model has a Start/Stop button, variable driving modes and can do a wheelie on its rear tyres when launched, just like a real dragster. The Top Fuel Dragster has an open "skeleton" body that reveals the beauty and fantastic inner mechanics of this racer.

To run the model, make sure the "start/stop" switch is set to the "stop" position, then turn the non-removable winding knob on the back of the Dragster about 12 times clockwise. Put the Dragster on the floor and, while holding it with one hand, turn the "start/stop" knob to "start" and then let go.

The Dragster model kit has 321 parts, is rated "Advanced" in difficulty and takes about 8 hours to build.
